Posted on 10/3/13 at 7:04 pm to AU86
What was that, $400?
And we got:
- Probation
- Bowl Ban
- TV ban
- Loss of scholarships
But nah, there's no double standard.

if they live off campus they also get a housing allowance of like $900 a month that they can keep if they dont spend that much. you rent a house with some other players and you all keep a chunk of change. your assumption is that they are all destitute, when in face most of them have at least some funds available, while getting all of their expenses paid. whats laughable is that you think its not possible that a bank would give a future first rounder a car loan if he could prove he had the current monthly income to cover it
lol at the bammers, who, a couple weeks ago, when fluker-gate dropped, were screaming about how these poor pitiful players deserved to get paid because there was no way they could survive on scholarship and full room and board money alone, are now justifying how they can easily afford brand new cars with all the extra, totally legit, money they get from the university.
which is it guys?

Yep. Couldn't return them then.

Do people posting here realize that he needed to borrow money because he was the victim of theft. It has been now reported that his car was broken into and items worth a few hundred dollars were stolen. There is a police report to back up his claim. This was not a normal routine situation but an extraordinary one. Not saying it was right or justified but everyone should understand why the need came up to borrow some money immediately.
Of course it wouldn't fit the agenda of our SEC brethren to believe that.

Anyone remember Eric Ramsey?
Shouldn't have denied it. Look what happened to Pearl - denied ao he got a show cause and fired. At least Dye was allowed to step down.

The key is having that steak at a Japanese steak house.

Oh, shoot, that makes sense. I can understand why that would happen and I'm sure there's absolutely nothing else he could've done given the circumstances. Let's just all forget about it because clearly it was a justifiable action and the NCAA should have mercy on these poor, innocent college kids.
Eric Ramsey needs to feed his kids? Worst NCAA smackdown since SMU.

Is there any form of compensation bama doesn't have covered?
Under Saban we have:
1. House sitting (free house)
2. Cars (duh)
3. Cash money homey
4. Clothing (Ttown menswear)
5. Food (expensive dinners, steak and sushi) Albetar
6. Furniture
7. Money from coaches to "hold"
8. Money from agents to "invest"
9. Paid for trips and hotels for entertainment (Fluker's flights and hotels, Miami parties, fishing trips).
10. Family relocations
11. Jobs for family members and girlfriends
shite, I think bama has pretty much thought of everything: Food, shelter, cars, cash, food, entertainment, travel, employment, relocation.

Eric was starving and look what our good deed got us. We were trying to feed the hungry. That bastard ratted on us. He was probably paid by the REC to do it.

This is interesting
"Harris made a short-term loan to Clinton-Dix in an amount less than $500, after Clinton-Dix's car was broken into on the night of June 25 or the morning of June 26. The Tuscaloosa News has obtained the police report filed by Clinton-Dix after the break-in, detailing the theft of money, an iPad, a backpack and sandals — both embroidered with Clinton-Dix's jersey number (No. 6) — stereo speaker sub-woofers, miscellaneous shirts and Nike Air Jordan shoes.
The police report (pictured below) states that Clinton-Dix's black and gray 2012 Dodge Charger was parked at his residence on the 4500 block of East 18th Avenue. Clinton-Dix is not identified by name on the police report due to Tuscaloosa Police Department policy not to list victims of crimes on such reports.
Clinton-Dix has provided bank records to UA athletic compliance department representatives that show a withdrawal in the amount he said he repaid to Harris, The Tuscaloosa News has learned.
Harris' annual salary is $43,260.
The situation could be a violation of NCAA Bylaw 16.11.2.2, which states that “an institutional employee or representative of the institution's athletics interests may not provide a student-athlete with extra benefits or services, including, but not limited to ... a loan of money.”
