Interesting. In summary, what he's essentially saying is that since the teams playing in the conference championships are essentially already in, it's not fair for them to have to play an extra game (for no reason) while the other teams sit at home.

So he proposed that the remaining/presumed seeds play each other this same weekend, after which the loser gets eliminated from the playoffs.

I was thinking the same thing before I saw this. It’s a wonderful idea and will only increase the entertainment value of the game. And that’s good for the bottom line.
