1966 Sugar bowl, #5 Missouri vs unranked Florida with Steve Spurrier Heisman winner at QB. Going into 4th Q Mo dominating, leading 20-0. Spurrier finally leads the Gators to a TD, and coach Ray Graves decides to go for two point conversion probably to make final score more respectable... but they fail to convert. However the rest of the quarter Spurrier runs wild and Florida scores two more times, each time going for 2-pt conversion, failing each time. Florida ended up losing 18-20... if they had kicked extra points (Spurrier was kicker too), they would have won. Monumentally stupid.
