Hurts became elite at OU.

Glad Jalen recovered from the 2017 Iron Bowl. That was tough to watch

He wouldn’t have been drafted if he stayed at Bama.

You disagree? He would have been second-string at best on that awesome Bama team in 2019 with Tua starting and Mac available off the bench. How many backup quarterbacks get drafted?

You think a 6’2 230 pound guy that runs a 4.5 and has a rocket arm wouldn’t have been drafted?

I haven't seen this guy all year, but as soon as you mention Jalen he's bout it.

I agree he wouldn't have been drafted as high as he was if he hadn't been a graduate transfer and got that year starting again at OU. Jalen himself though is all Bama from his own actions and words.

Off the top of my head Tommy Stevens and Matt Cassell

I can only think of one backup QB who has been drafted (Cassel from USC with the Pats). Can you think of any others? Could Hurts have even held off Mac Jones for second string?

We crossed streams. :)

Stevens was drafted as a Taysom Hill type, not really a QB. (Side note: it was a pick by Sean Payton made just to frick with the Panthers).

Are we really gonna act like that Hurts was your typical backup his junior year? By that time he had 25 wins as a starter, 61 tds, and 6500 all purpose yards
