You do understand that saying History is off limits in your arguments is VERY different than saying it doesn't exist? You always say history is of no consequence to a team's current status, and to a certain extent, it's true... But to factor out history altogether would be idiotic. Especially when you use the LSU history (to which you should indeed be proud) to demonstrate your superiority.

i've never said Alabama doesn't have history. but Bama fans have said that about LSU. as recently as an hour ago.

But what about when Alabama fans start bringing in all of their championships when they talk about whether or not they are an elite school, or when it comes to recruiting, or when people talk about who has more class, or whether or not coaches would leave to go somewhere else?
I'm not disagreeing with you, and I think LSU has tons of history, but on more than one occasion, you've said this argument is irrelevant, and the better school is only as great as its recent record... as in, the past 5 years or so.
You don't remember this?

So I don't understand the double standard of bringing in LSU's history....
I mean... The legends of Tiger Stadium and the Earthquake game don't compare to someone winning a championship at the Rose bowl in 1926.... and they don't add to the allure to a school vs. say, maybe Boise State?

Well... it just seems from my perspective that negating the Alabama history and tradition, while not really realistic, would mean that you couldn't use LSU history and tradition in your arguments when you are discussing LSU's prowess... considering the fact that it's by YOUR standard of argument, irrelevant.
It chaps your arse when Alabama fans do it, but you do it too.
I think this reflects a subjective personal bias against Alabama... and it comes through when you rant or take a vigilante approach to our rogue fanbase.

you're still missing the point. what i initially posted in this thread had nothing to do with Alabama OR LSU's history. but that doesn't really suit your witch hunt now does it?

I'm not interested in why, I'm more concerned with the process of a valid and non hypocritical argument to convey his very valid opinion.

All you need is one Iron Bowl at Legion Field as an Auburn fan (doesn't matter who wins). I can't tell you how many grown (adult) Bammers tried to fight us before/during/after the game in high school.

Check your spelling, and one's opinion is always valid. Even yours. It's an opinion, so by the nature of the word, it can't be contested. You can't help your feelings.
