The GOAT Recruiting Class Ever:

2017 Alabama (some have transferred to other schools or moved on to the NFL)

Quarterback - Tua Tagovailoa, Mac Jones

Running Back - Najee Harris, Brian Robinson

Wide Receiver - DeVonta Smith, Henry Ruggs, Jerry Jeudy, Tyrell Shavers, Chadarius Townsend

Tight End - Major Tennison, Kedrick James

Offensive Line - Jedrick Wills, Alex Leatherwood, Elliot Baker, Kendall Randolph, Hunter Brannon

Defensive Line - LaBryan Ray, Isaiah Buggs, Phidarian Mathis, Jarez Parks

Linebacker - Dylan Moses, Chris Allen, VanDarius Cowan, Markail Benton

Defensive Back - Xavier McKinney, Daniel Wright, Kyriq McDonald

Specialist - Thomas Fletcher, Joseph Bulovas

Also, a lot of these guys as freshmen won the NC in 2017 against a great Georgia team.

Actually your 2021 class with seven 5 stars isn't too shabby.

Insane hit rate on offense. Not just productive players but elite players.

2015 was coming off Jake Coker, Derrick Henry, and Kenyan Drake, with a slew of defensive talent.

The 2016 team was going through an experiment with Jalen Hurts and Cooper Bateman at QB. Defensively, Jonathan Allen, Reuben Foster, and Eddie Jackson were the ones making a lot of headlines.

Point being, these guys signed when Saban was right in the midst of a transition between offensive and defensive styles, and the points explosion had only just started.

Crazy that they bought in when they did.
