Memba when the fantastic, stunning, stellar, blue ribbon, noble, divine and superlative Alabama Crimson Tide football team was on the brink of ruin starting back in 1995?
Those were good times for our rivals like Tennessee and auburn. In fact, it was a great time for fans all over the SEC and the nation.
Joy was afoot in the college football world because the giant of all giants had seemingly been crushed for time immemorial. The heavenly, gilt-edged, blue-ribboned, top-of-the-line and superlative Crimson Tide had seemingly been vanquished and all rejoiced in drunken and idiotic revelry for a decade.
Then came an angel from heaven, by way of Miami, to resurrect this fallen angel of the gridiron.
And resurrect he did. Rumor is that before the Great Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa, he was a coach at places called Toledo and Michigan State. No one is really sure though because all anyone now remembers is that he is the Alabama coach.
As the greatest college football coach of all time strides into another stadium tomorrow, with the greatest football team in the history of college football following him, expect all resistance to crumble as if mere corn-dog vapors in the wind.
As that dust settles and men who can't be understood by normal people start to beat their wives, slap their children, and kick their dogs at yet another lost chance, rejoice Alabama fans, rejoice.
You have earned it, my friends, as you and your parents and your grandparents and your great-grandparents, etc... have been the driving force behind the unworldly success of the very best team ever to play this game called college football.
Roll Tide!!!

Saban is a football coach, not God.

It took you longer to type out your response than it did for me to compose my post.

As we all open our Sabible's to Chapter Dominance, verse Cripple the Spirit, one can see the mantra of Saban spelt out clearly:
So I want everybody to think here for a second, how much does this game mean to you?
'Cause if it means something to you, you can't stand still. You understand? You play fast! You play strong! You go out there and dominate the man you're playing against, and you make his arse quit!
That's our trademark! That's our M.O. as a team! That's what people know us as! Aight!!!!

The hero worship of Saban is so sad. Have any of you losers actually accomplished anything significant in your pathetic lives?

March along, sing our song, with the The Crimson Tide
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory
We're the Tide and proud of our name
We're the Tide and proudly proclaim
Chorus:
First to fight for the right,
And to build Saban's might,
And The Crimson Tide Goes Rolling Along
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And Saban Goes Rolling Along.
Refrain:
Then it's Hi! Hi! Hey!
The Tide's on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong
For where e’er we go,
You will always know
That Saban Goes Rolling Along.
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory
We're the Tide and proud of our name
We're the Tide and proudly proclaim
Chorus:
First to fight for the right,
And to build Saban's might,

I feel sorry for LSU fans never having experienced having a coach like Nick Saban, I really do.
Every team should have some success and every fan should be able to experience that, at least once in their fandom.
