You know what else is dirty?

Throwing high and tight in baseball.

and

Hitting the next batter after a homerun in baseball.

It's part of the game. Anyone that has ever played football knows that after an INT, QBs get marked for destruction. It's part of the game and until there is an actual rule prohibiting any blocking of the QB after they throw an INT, you come across as just butthurt.

LOL pause it at the 4 second mark when contact is made. Murray is at the 43 and the ball carrier hasn't even crossed midfield. Nice try though.

Now show me where being 8 yards away has any bearing on the rule.

Umm a baseball to the head or face is more dangerous than what happened to Murray tonight. Douche.

Deflection at its best. I'm talking about it being a dirty hit, which it was. Just because something is not technically illegal doesn't mean it isn't a dirty play. You made my point for me with the with the baseball analogy. Thanks for that.

You can call it whatever you want to call it but the fact is, is that it isn't illegal. And this talk of sitting Dial for the BCSNC is completely wrong.

If someone intentionally goes up and in in the majors they are ejected immediately. If they intentionally hit a guy in the head they're suspended for multiple games.

No, but it was unquestionably dirty. Almost like a pitcher throwing at a batter's head, as you said.

Danielson taking Bama's dick out of his mouth long enough to acknowledge that it was extremely dirty should have tipped of Bama fans more than anything. If nothing else convinces you that was a dirty play that should have.

If the ump deems it intentional. It's still a judgement call.

Kind of like a defensive tackle intentionally seeking out the QB for a cheap shot on an INT is a judgement call?

So i guess Dial should have just let Murray waltz himself over to the play to try to make a tackle?

That the kind of football you want?

The play was in action and Murray was going to the play and was between 5-8 yards away, as you said. He is close enough to affect the play. It's not like he was 45 yards away or anything.

No.

It isn't a judgment call. Dial would have to lead with the crown of the helmet. This has been discussed.

A ref shouldn't be out there going, "oh shite, that was nasty looking...oh well damn! guess i'll throw a flag on that"
