Georgia's recruitment of Fields was strange. He or Fromm had to go as I called it in Sept.

Much to the chagrin and screams of the Georgia faithful here. Problem was he wasn't recruited right and came in with a bad understanding. But had UGA told him the truth he would have likely went to AU or FSU. So they likely lied big time and when he figured it out he came down with a case of the RED arse. Reality bites some time and the best thing is to tell the truth and get guys in with a great understanding of where they fit in. But this is going to work out fine in the short term for UGA (Fromm is a great QB and an even better leader). And Fields should be a super star @ OSU. All three of his final choices were flawed: UGA already had their qb and he is a soph. AU had Stidham and Nix coming in. And FSU is rebuilding the lines. I never got it that he and UF didn't connect. They need him and Mullen is a great QB developer.

We were recruiting Fields before the 2017 season, Eason was still the starter and Fromm had not emerged yet.

People tend to not understand that.

What did Kirby not tell him the truth about? Do you think he promised him the job, you can't be serious.

Honestly was there not a stretch this year when Kirby could have pulled the plug on Fromm and no one would have complained. I think Kirbs was fortunate that in the soft SEC East he had time to let Fromm completely refocus down the stretch. In the long run, it's clear he did not make the best choice.

The LSU game was a disaster, but the whole team stunk that one up. Other than LSU I thought Fromm played very well.

The QB is about more than just talent. You need a leader too. Fromm is the leader of Georgia's offense and has been since last year's title game.
