Would an ACC player be going against weaker competition?
If you have two players which have basically the same yards, but one plays in the best conference in the country with the best players and the other plays in a conference that "sucks", which would you say performed better?

Quite possibly, but the same would apply to their own teammates.
NFL and award pickers don’t seem to think the difference is big enough to matter. They simply recognize talent of individual players, and pick accordingly.

This makes no sense. One has nothing to do with the other.
In regards to the national title win over bama, It doesn’t matter one way or the other if I think bowers is 1st best or 2nd best or 3rd best.

The teams played 2 games. One game was decided early in the 3rd quarter while the other came down to the final moments with the losing team in the 2nd having lost multiple starters, including the best wr in the country.
The A&M loss proves that A&M beat Bama at home that night.
