For those who were in the stadium last night:

Was the crowd as loud as it sounded on TV? You could barely hear the announcers for a lot of the game.
Also, what do y’all think the fan split was?
Answering here because I got auto logged out a while back and couldn’t recall my password. Yes, it was very loud.
I was in Charlotte for work from Tuesday through Friday and it appeared that more Clemson fans arrived in town on Wednesday and Thursday. Didn’t see a whole lot of UGA fans until Thursday night.
The tailgate crowd appeared to be about split but the edge would go to Clemson if I had to guess.
The game crowd looked to be split at first. It was hard to delineate between the orange and red overall in the stadium. But it was apparent when the lights went off and the phones lit up across the stadium at the start of the 4th that UGA had more fans in the game.I would say 55-45 and maybe 60-40.
The Clemson fans were loudest when their band was on the field pre-game and at halftime. Doing their little cheers and such.
The UGA fans were much louder during live play on the field.
The walk-out after the game was the loudest chanting and as wild I have ever seen or heard after a UGA game. Especially the way it was echoing through the ramps.
Charlotte Uptown was lit after the game. Wild night. It was a pretty crazy scene until about 2:00am.

quote:With the remote commentators, I think they dial up the field microphones and you hear most anything. Did it in baseball when did remotes. Aggravating to me. So, they can make it anything they want it be for the tv audience.

ESPN has been pumping fake crowd noise into broadcasts for years, long before Rona. It's like laugh tracks in shitty sitcoms.
