I don't know if I would say they have zero tradition. Barry Sanders did win a Heisman out of OSU.

So did George Rogers....you want to make a case for the great winning tradition of South Carolina?

Haven't read teh whole thread, sorry if germans, but Cox did not impress me.

Still only the first game, and a tough way to start the season for any SEC team. Okie State looks like a pretty good team.

Yes, you are.

UGA has some nice WRs that are not getting much action. QB Cox is less than impressive (may be the flu).

You know, I completely forgot about him being sick.

1. not defenseless WR. he was bobbling the ball

2. the hit was not above the shoulders. it was in teh chest/shoulders area

Unless you're just being sarcastic he played, but not well. Dunno if the flu was affecting him, but he looked like he had a noodle for an arm.

Stating the obvious. Three officials, with FAR more knowledge than you and from three different viewpoints, flagged it.

You are simply too stupid to realize you're wrong. But, I've come to expect that from you.

Naw, it appears that way when you said

quote:

Whether I support it or not is irrelevant. The rules and philosophy for administering the rules are relevant.

which is completely backwards to any non-referee.

Listen, we know you are a ref, and you're just trying to defend your fellow refs. They have to make the call as the rules states, everyone understands that. Most people (not SFP) think that it is a shitty rule and therefore a shitty call. Your position is that it doesn't matter that it is a shitty rule, and therefore the call is irrelevant, and that is completely a unreasonable and untenable position to assume. You're also being an a-hole about it.

i saw the replay

i'm discussing the replay and it's fit (or lack of fit) within the rulebook

you, are not

Personally, I don't think the rule is "shitty". If you don't like the rule, contact Bellotti and Redding.

Probably so. The play in question was SO obvious SloFlo's statements deserved ridicule.

I'm not defending anyone. If I see a blown call, I'll be the first to say so. If you read the thread, you'll notice I was critical of the white hat. He was sloppy and it reflects on the entire crew.
