Gene Chizik was also the defensive coordinator for an Auburn team that finished the season undefeated in 2004. The 2004 Auburn defense finished the season #1 in the entire nation in scoring defense and #5 in the entire nation in total defense.


Texas' stats for total defense under Chizik in 2005 and 2006 were a lot better than they were under Will Muschamp in 2008. Texas' stats for scoring defense under Chizik in 2005 and 2006 were slightly better than they were under Will Muschamp in 2008.


I am not surprised you and the rest of the gumptards forgot to mention those stats

Nice article from Dec. 2008...I would write this kind of crap to if my HC just left my program for a better one or for just a different challenge, I.E. Nick Saban...LSU fans hate him now...Bama fans will...Bobby Petrino...this list goes on...BTW how many coaches turned down the Bama job? So what does that make Saban? Plan E, F?
