To ruin your dreams of doing anything special in the east this year.

Thanks for giving up your rights to the spot in Atlanta!

It was a dirty hit. Be hard for anyone to try and argue otherwise

it was clearly NOT a dirty hit. I understand the frustration at losing a player like Franklin, but it was in no way dirty. He is letting go of the ball as he is contacted and due to lack of visual confirmation in conjunction with the laws of physics, the UGA player couldn't stop.

All this shows me is that Georgia wasn't ever good enough to hit Franklin during a play, so they had to take out their anger after a play was over.

Not a dirty hit at all.
Agreed. What's so dirty about it? One could argue the JF being drilled into the ground was dirty.

Stop crying! If that was a dirty hit, we need to go flag football. Injuries are part of the game. UGA and UF have lost a hell of a lot more this year than a quarterback. 59 did nothing more than drive the ball carrier into the ground. This is taught in youth football. I know MIZZOU had the injury bug last year. We don't need the reminder.

Normally I would agree, but given the quote Josh Harvey Clemmons gave, and the fact that Georgia gave James Franklin a shoulder injury last year and the players appear to target the same shoulder on the sack it's dirty

The fact that you seem to be naïve to the fact that this happens every week in football is quite alarming.

It happens. Opposing players sniff out an injury, and they go for it. It's a violent game.

Hell, every tackle is meant in some way to injure the other player.

Ball was out (as he was making contact)and Herrera (who got flagged for a late hit on Mauk later) tried to lift and drive Franklin into the turf (as is taught in tackling 101)

you guys really need to lighten up.......you're coming off as pussified.

That is the argument. That caused the injury.

It doesn't look that dirty to me

Even if they were out to hurt him - that's their job. It may have even been intentional. These guys aren't playing for time in the Humane Society.

It sucks - don't get me wrong, but it's football. I hope he recovers quickly and fully
