This is the difference, IMO. It has nothing to do with Crowton.

How much has the scheme changed?

This guy NOT playing QB has been the difference.

We don't run the spread anymore.

Our offense knows what we are trying to accomplish.

When something is working, we keep doing it.

Scheme is 180 degrees from Crowton.

Through six games last year, JJ had 2 touchdowns to 7 interceptions.

Lee has 8 to 1 so far this year.

I'd say LSU has played better competition this year through six than last year. I really don't think you can blame a coordinator of Jefferson's performance.

You really believe this shite means something don't you? You are pathetic.

The fact that you would even consider posting such garbage as evidence of the strength of Bama’s offense is proof of of your pathetic homerism. Here is current total offense rankings of Penn State’s competition (other than Bama) to this point:

Indiana state(DI-AA), Iowa (90), Indiana(58), Eastern Michigan (94), Temple (41)

That looks bad enough, but then check out the schedules of each of those teams so far. One top 25 opponent (an overrated illinois) amongst them all so far. Their schedules are aweful. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that all of those teams have inflated total offense rankings at this point in the season as a result of their extremely weak competion.

He was the guy who called the plays, and he was the guy who was in charge of developing the QB's.

Also, Gary was the guy who took a pocket passing QB who could run if a play breaks down. . .and tried to turn him into a broke-arse Dennis Dixon.

Crowton is the reason why Jefferson looked like shite last year.

Krags and Stud are the reason that Lee looks good this year.

Hell, even JJ looks like a fricking monster right now. . .and he has missed practice most of the year.

2010(through 6 games)
rushes 244 1139

passes 138 879

2011
rushes 267 1101

passes 133 1100

With a less successful, per attempt, rushing attack, Lee has passed for 200 more yards on less attempts.

I still point to QB play as the difference. Offensive playcalling is pretty similar as far as running/passing.

I agree.

It has been the difference. Which is a function of having a better OC and a competent QB coach.

JJ would be leading a more effective offense than last year, as well. Better than Lee? I don't know.

The bottom line is we have a real identity this year. We are a power running/play action team. Last year our playcalling was random and without any point or focus.

Just reference what has happened with Maryland. He took a promising QB, and made him shitty.

I suppose, on the other hand, that I should thank you proving how meaningless and usually misleading stats are in college sports, especially this early in the season.
