Mothers Pub
The Swamp
Adams BBQ
Relish
Copper Monkey
My favorite spots - relatively closeish to the Stadium.
Not sure if Copper Monkey is still called Copper Monkey. Its been a few years since I've been back to the campus after I graduated.

If you want really good BBQ and want to travel a little. Hawthorne. About 15 minutes from Gainesville there is a kind of hole in the wall BBQ place there. If I remember it's called Debbie's? It's the original Sunny's. The owner is the daughter or niece of Sunny and the food is all made from scratch. It's really, really good. It doesn't look like much but..best BBQ I've had here hands down.
If you want Sushi. Volcanic Sushi and Sake. Won best Sushi and their chef won the cities Iron chef twice in a row. Absolutely incredible food and we'll priced.
If you want good craft beer and pizza. Piesanos. Hands down. Try the Swamp Head brews. Quite good.
If you want upscale dining. Embers on Archer is very good
Insane burgers go to The Swamp outside the stadium..insane burgers trust me.
If you want hot sorority girls and annoying frat guys. The social or anywhere in midtown. Which I no longer go to besides the Swamp for their burgers.

You're correct in everything said here. Debbie's, is serious about their Bar B Que.
Down home staff, the waitresses are the granddaughters of Sonny Tillman. I eat there a couple of times a month.

ETA: If you are coming through Lake City, on your way the Gainesville, Old Times, is a buffet style restaurant located in the Lake City Mall, that is no joke for those of you with a hankering for excellent home cooked meals.

I wish he had this when I was there.
Balls still around? Don’t go there if you are over 21.
