Do the Yell Leaders stay on the other side of the field from them so they don't get cooties?

Hell yeah we do. In my fantasy I am Tim Gunn yelling at all the models "Make it WORK!"

Men's clothing is boring so without women we wouldn't have anyone to play dress up with.

It has actually been longer. I think they started in '12. This pic is from '13.

What's the practical difference?

If you are being technical we don't have male cheerleaders either.

At first the ghey aggies thing was just funny. Now I'm extremely suspect after finding out all these weird arse traditions. Dunking the males in the water after a win??

The practical difference would be venue and the fact that one group generally does not cheer

So, do they lead the crowd in cheers as cheerleaders do, do they only perform at basketball games

so to sum up (cheerleaders cheer, at football games: dance team members dance at basketball games). Maybe this is not the case at A&M though

It isn't. Our dance team leads the football team onto the field and holds the flags like any other SEC team.

We just park them once the game starts because leading the largest student section in the SEC is a man's job.
