Thats the thing, legally speaking there is no rule against that. Also prove that we coerced them to do anything when one of the players actually heard from yall first and wouldve had to do the same thing. Its rich coming from you talking about suing an organization and having some home cooking to get the desired result.

If the SEC wants to step in where the NCAA has been unable to due to legal challenges, it has to be able to enforce its rules. It had to hold the line or it'd risk setting a bad precedent moving forward if its self-governance model takes on greater importance as many expect it to. It's no different than the Big Ten, which considered its vote on whether former pro players should be able to return as the first test of a self-governance model. The issue is that while the 18 Big Ten schools fell in line, one of the SEC's 16 schools refused to do so.
