We only want SEC teams to win if it helps us or the brand to help us on close calls in subsequent years.
If you hear fans chanting "SEC, SEC, SEC," that is not a conference chant, so much as it is a frick you. Basically saying Vandy is a tougher game on avg than your shite team.
It's pure egoism.
Play a non-down years type of SEC East competition schedule, and them come talk shite. That said, I think UTx is a NC contender. But, they did draw a shite schedule not worth bragging about their record.

I’m not an SEC guy myself. I root against them all except LSU.
