Before the season, all we heard was:

Trent Richardson = Michael Ford > Eddie Lacy

Three games into the season, it appears to be:

Trent Richardson > Michael Ford = Eddie Lacy

Discuss.

Eddie Lacy is going to be a great RB. Lacy arrived on campus just before fall camp and hasn't had time to learn the system. Lacy is a player and will see a lot of playing time while he is at Alabama.

it's crazy HOW BAD i wanted to see Lacy run pre-season... and now, almost 4 games in, how much i've entirely forgotten about him. i might have thought more about him if TR hadn't proven himself to be worth his own weight in gold.

Onterrio McCalebb shouldn't be in the conversation.

If he was equal to Richardson, he would have seen playing time by now, especially with Murphy hurt.

at this point i can't say i disagree, but we don't really have a read on either ford or lacey. both will redshirt. but yea at this point he is but we need to wait atleast till all play before we make a final decision. btw i think tr will be better then lacy, not because of talent, but because of work ethic.

I see you left out the best frshman rb in the SEC. Bryce Brown. He is way better than TR.

Are you serious?

I'll concede that they are about equal, but to say Brown is way better than Richardson is fricking retarded.

It's a little bit generous to give BB that.

yup. +1

maybe he's not running behind as good an O-line... but since we DON"T KNOW that... TR has looked better in every way.

The preseason discussions did not mean as true freshmen, it meant in general. Just because LSU has depth at RB this year doesnt mean that Richardson is better than Ford. He hasn't carried the ball yet.

Nah. Murphy wasnt going to see much action anyway. Not enough to take the reshirt off of Ford.

Well maybe not way better. But he is more talented. TR doesnt have the natural vision, speed and the wiggle that Brown has. They are probably both the same in the strength department or TR has a slight edge there.

Not exactly, He is behind Williams and Scott. Granted those two are good but not great. Plus the tiger rant will tell you Miles doesnt like to play fresh/rookies or whatever you call them

Richardson is behind Ingram and Upchurch, and he is still carrying the ball for us. That isn't a good excuse.
