Then, please come to Ole Miss in that case.

Ya. I agree and they seem to come from Florida. And get cut from most fraternities.
Jhag a suggestion. Pick a school based on what you want to do with your life. The social scene will be there. Dont go because you wanna get drunk and waste your folks money. Trust me its not worth it.

logical argument....Isn't it something like 60% of our student body is in the Greek system?
That is the legend, but in reality its much lower. I mean would you want 60% of the students to be Greek? Thats like 11,000 people. Lets just say Frats make up a 3rd of that, and since we have 13 frats, thats 282 people per frat, which is way to much.

everyone else....
I would add Auburn and UGA to that list.

Nothing. It's more, he's trying to decide on a school with frats as a major criteria. Those kids are generally douchebags in my experience.
There's plenty of D-bags in Guess Hall as well... it's all relative.
I was lucky enough to surround myself with cool frat buds and GDIs at Ole Miss, but I can see why a non-greek would find the average Ole Miss frat guy to be douchey.

I dunno....that may have been referring to the Sororities that i was hearing of..

Initially I wanted to do Construction Management, which is best at AU...but with the economy and all the math involved in the Engineering parts of construction I'm looking elsewhere, as of now im undecided, which sucks, I'm looking at criminal justice and stuff like that also, Restraunt management/ hospitality whatever it is someone needs to open perhaps a sports bar in a college town...far fetched I know but its a dream

I told you.
It's either 37 or 38 percent.

Certainly. I said later in the post there are a ton of good guys in the frat system. Oh and mmjones, I've noticed the quality of frat daddy tends to go up as they get older.

I took a tour of the college itself and went duck hunting outside of the city, so I didn't really get a feel for the social scene honestly. I'm going by what I've been told.

My brother owns and runs the most successful bar in Starkville, and he never finished at MSU. Being an entrepreneur doesn't take a degree.

You and me both Duke, although I do love fricking with the guys who think they are frat stars, watching them get as drunk as they can, and watch them make complete stupid asses of themselves.

I've spent a weekend at Bama...had a great time...Went to an event called Outrigger at the Pike house..Ying Yang Twins were there as well as Trotline...goog times...havent been out in Auburn yet, something tells me night life at Bama, and Ole Miss are a lot better then AU
I can see nothing gets by you. seriously, not flaming, but Auburn's nightlife is probably just a hair over that found in Starkvegas.
I guess I should say I'm not flaming MSU. either. Obviously if you choose to attend those schools, you either aren't a party animal, are there strictly for an education, or are going greek.

What bar would that be in Starkville?

I agree. Once you get into your major its no longer frat frat frat. You hang out with alot of different people. I have my fraternity brothers, friends in other fraternities, and some that are GDI's. Who cares any more?
