North Carolina quarterback Max Johnson plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. On3’s Pete Nakos reported the news on Friday.

Johnson, a graduate student, has played six seasons of collegiate football with three different programs (LSU, Texas A&M, and North Carolina). He however has played just five games over the past two seasons in Chapel Hill, and plans to appeal for an additional year of eligibility to play elsewhere...

We're going to get a tenth-year player in the next five years

It's crazy man. It really is getting to be like club sports when you'd have a grad student be the captain for the 3rd year in a row, all because he decided he didn’t like the job offer from Enterprise Rent A Car he got after last semester.

Max Johnson will continue to work on being All-SEC (meaning that he's going to play for all of the SEC teams.)
