They might.

Alabama beat a Southern Cal team that wasn't ready for the spotlight early in the season and has feasted on a league that is a 7-5 league overall. The SEC isn't very good this year.

This isn't a shot at Alabama, but do we really know how good Alabama actually is this year? I don't think so. Playoffs will be interesting.

One could say the same about Clemson, their opponents and their schedule.

Except they lost once and almost lost multiple others.

It'll all get sorted out soon enough.

Not it isn't.

The SEC is full of teams that are 8-4 and 7-5.

Its not rocket surgery.

Clemson lost to Pitt who lost to Syracuse. Let that sink in. Clemson is half the team they were and that Def has been boat raced several times this year. They better worry about the ACC CG and First round.

Clemson lost to Pitt, beat Troy by 6, beat NCSU by 7, beat the barn by 6, ...

Their SOS is #47, ours is #7.

Well if you think about the offenses that were successful against Bama this year, OM and Arky, they threw the ball well and had their qb's run out of the pocket to buy more time, from the relentless Bama pass rush. Watson is as accurate and even more athletic than CK and AA. If either Ole Miss or Arky had as good of a defense as Clemson's, they would have likely beaten Bama. I am not saying I agree with Boyd, he clearly made a homer statement, but it isn't exactly unjustified and I can see his logic. With Watson at qb, Clemson is absolutely the biggest threat left to Bama, assuming they can even make it to Bama.

If NC State's kicker makes a 30 yd fg with 3 seconds left in the game. Clemson is not in the playoffs.
