Even though it wasn't much, and was supposedly on the passenger - I have to assume Dyer knew it was in the car. Or even if Dyer DIDN'T know, the passenger ought to said 'hey. uhh.... I don't think we need to get pulled over for anything...'
I really don't think Dyer understands the antecedents which often lead to getting in trouble.
The first incident when he first arrived at ASU was over playing loud music from his car while hanging out in an area where a lot of "trouble" happens.
