I've just asked for a link or source for a statement that many Aggies have repeated here but apparently no one knows where or how they came up with it.

There's no doubt that he was suspended at A&M, it's been widely reported by many credible sources.

Him getting himself suspended plus that ego resulted in him leaving. STRONG chance he left because of his ego. STRONG chance that coaching staff figured he would leave. STRONG chance they weren't going to ruin the entire locker room over one head case.
See my last question about college wide receivers and put things together. Takes some experience with college football and simple common sense.
