For those who followed Arik Gilbert’s recruitment

Did he always have this problem or did it just develop and got worst over time? I never followed his recruitment because I thought for sure he was going to Bama/Georgia. I just never heard anything about his mental issue until he left the team last season.

I remember Sonny and Shea on LSU 247 couldn’t believe it. They didn’t even have a story written about it because it was so left field.

That’s crazy how something like that can just happen. I know he was about to be suspended for failed drug tests because our compliance department are assholes. Rumor was he was on synthetic weed and I just thought he had a bad reaction to that. I didn’t know he was having mental issues. I know coach O was trying to cover for him saying he left because his body hurt but he could have said something better then that without putting his business out there.

A lot of mental illnesses don’t manifest themselves until people are in their late teens and early 20’s.

If he was smoking synthetic he probably has schizophrenia. See it all the time. That crap is so bad. Natural weed is so much better

I noticed a few LSU players and one I will not say who had a bad reaction to synthetic weed because they didn’t want to fail a drug test smoking the real thing. Synthetic weed is so bad for you.
