The only reason A&M had so much success this last class is because you were basically the only ones doing it.

Sure, much like when Jimbo lost his QB at the beginning of the season at FSU, any rational A&M fan would have reduced expectations last year. That said, we are one year removed from a top five finish and just signed the best recruiting class ever. That does not suck

University did not pay players

AD Ross directed the effort with boosters. YOU guys posted that here on the SEC rant.

That is 100% against the NIL rules. The NCAA has already stated that. Last June, the NCAA published only a short, broad set of rules governing name, image, and likeness activities.

The policy technically prohibited deals from being used as recruiting inducements or forms of pay-for-play.

Calling it NIL does not remove it from illegal activity.

NCAA has already stated that.

But that's not really the topic. You guys openly bragged about it here yet you are now crying about somebody saying the SAME things you stated.

Boosters are seen as representatives of your school at all times, so when your boosters do something, it's your school.

Alabama didn't pay a single penny to Albert Means, his coach or anyone else. It was just some booster who went out and did all that. But because he is a booster, he is deemed to be a representative of Alabama, and thus Alabama got in trouble for it.

None of this changed with NIL. A collective being run by boosters who are using it to recruit is no different than the Albert Means case.

All of this is correct.
