Whoever wins will be the champ of the first major college football invitational tournament

You had three losses. It's not an Invitational simply because Alabama did not win enough games to earn a spot.

I'll call them the tourney winner.

A very weak field this season which can happen but this time it was caused by TP/NIL without a doubt.

Well maybe we should put an asterisk beside all of Nick Saban's wins. We will call them the Bought and Paid For Years.

How long are you Bama fans going to pitch a fit because you didn't win enough games to earn them spot?

The only reason you're claiming it is a weak field, is because Alabama did not make it.

These teams getting no respect. Duly noted. I’m gonna lmfao if one of them wins it.

Yep. Even though they've played suspect schedules, there was no way to truly assess how good they are without the CFP. Now we shall see and that's the beauty of it.

The cfp basically made it where games during the season didn't count.

If games in the season don't count Bama would be in solely on Brand prestige. Bama isn't in because season games DO count, and Bama was left out based on the results of those games. Your argument disproves your assertion.

It ain’t perfect and they still need to make some tweaks, but I’m glad it’s no longer a beauty contest.

There's enough teams in the field that who ever wins out is the undisputed Champion

disagree. Not reading 4 pages but if it's Texas/UGA in the title game and texas wins, I would absolutely not call them the undisputed champion. they would have a grand total of one legit, signature win in 16 games (against oregon in the semis), then one win in their 3rd try against uga in the title game.

Who in their right mind would say texas is better than uga in 2024 when uga beat texas 66% of the times they played? Not to mention uga would have double the amount of notable wins on the year.

So you're saying quantity doesn't count? It doesn't matter who you lose to as long as you don't lose but so many games. Hell your sos doesn't even matter.

Brother. Quantity does count. Speaking on Bama, Bama fulfilled both of your criteria. They lost too many games AND to arguably the worst conference opponents on their schedule. You have no grounds for your argument.
