Arhog, why do you think arky has a good shot in 2011? I understand that the rest of your team will be better then, but without mallett do you really think you have a shot?. Not very often is a team is successful with a green qb. I know I know about bama, but that was with a top 3 defense. With BP there, arky will never have a top D, therefor you are going to need a potent offense to get you to at least Atl.

Why you say? I thought he had a decent first 2 years. I expect Arkansas to challenge in the West this year and Petrino to use this as a Spring Board to improve their recruiting.

If Petrino ever learns how to recruit and turns Arky into a respectable program, you can bet your arse he'll be on the first bus out of town when a real football program comes calling.

It's kind of hard to be posotive about a coach with a losing record in a conference against the likes of Idaho and fresno state....

How positive were you about Lane?

I was more positive about him because his losing record was in the NFL with Jamarcus Russel as his starting QB......

I'm not surprised, you have no sense of humor. Every try to lighten up a little?

We have two very able QB's waiting to compete for the starting job. One of them Brandon Mitchell, I believe you will see play some this year, gun for an arm and a very good running QB. Great stable of recievers and RB's.

As far as CBP not ever having a top Defense....If we don't field a better defense this year, changes will be made at DC. I think he will finally realize that you can't outscore SEC opponents to get to Atlanta.

This year will tell us more about Petrino and the direction we are headed in.

I posted this on another thread and will do it again. There's zero chance Arkansas and Auburn will win three combined national championships. And LSU was very lucky to win their two this decade despite Saban absolutely loading that program with ridiculous talent. They also never had an undefeated season. Do you really think LSU will win more national titles as Florida and the same number as Alabama? I don't.
