Foodie/beer knurd thread for us noobies - where in SEC *must* I go?

Probably already been done on here, probably multiple times, in fact I think I hear German bombers headed toward Pearl Harbor right now, but IDGAF cuz I needz ta know, yo. Aside from the tailgating at games, what are the single most iconic/can't miss restaurants/brewpubs/bars/whatever it is I need to hit up while visiting an SEC opponent. We will come to all your towns eventually so everybody's input is welcome, in the short term though Mizzou next year road trips to Gainesville, Knoxville and Columbia, SC so those are my immediate needs. (Aggies, I know we visit you too but I've been to CS for many games already and have the place pretty well clocked)
For instance I figure I have to get me some shrimp 'n grits somewhere if I go to South Carolina...but where? Or am I misguided? that sorta thing...

When you come to BR for an LSU game, stay in New Orleans Friday night and you won't be disappointed by the vast selection of restaurants. Take your pick.
That said, the food at the LSU tailgates rivals any food that you'd find in any restaurants around the country.
