You don’t have to have been alive. That play in imbedded in Gator minds and history. I have a Gator friend - hard to believe I know- and to this day he chokes up every time it’s mentioned. He couldn’t even talk to me for days after that game. When he finally called he said he had never felt that bad after a loss. And it still bothers him to this day and apparently the Gator fan base too. They think they are hurting Georgia by talking non stop about 1980. Doofus Dan thought he was being clever making ridiculous comments - until they came back and bit him hard in the butt.
1980!! Love it!!! Those are great memories. We love thinking about 1980 but we chose to live in the present and times are really good. Things haven’t been good at UF for over a decade so it’s easy to understand your little digs. If it makes you feel better, carry on. We know how much 1980 hurt y’all and we bless Lindsay Scott for that

Old enough to remember one of those championships you are so proud of. The one that had TWO murderers on the same Urban Meyer team. Has to be a record.
