Scuttlebutt is that it wasn't actually denied, rather Mullen & Co didn't apply soon enough for him to have the visa by the deadline?

Add Morven Joseph to the decommit list? I dunno shite about him... Would assume this is mutual?

I update the rankings list on the front page of our recruiting thread.
He's been trending down and that hasn't changed. I have no idea if the staff wanted him or not, but I have been updating ever since he committed and it was definitely one of the question mark guys.

As much fun as it is to give you guys shite, I was pretty sure this wasn't likely to matter

Good week for Florida and Mullen.
July 4: 2019 4* OL W. Wilson denied Visa for US (Bahamas)
July 4: 2020 3* Ath J. Bell decommits from UF
July 5: 2020 3* DE M. Joseph decommits from UF
July 6: 2019 4* OL D. Hammond fails to qualify for UF and will attend Juco
To date UF's 2019 class has lost two players to transfers, two who failed to qualify and one who can't get to the US in what was the 9th ranked 247 class.
The gators current 2020 class sits at #9 in the 247 composite with 17 commitments and a 89.71 player average which is good for 6th in player average in the SEC. UF is quickly closing the talent gap with the top of the league.

Florida 2019 offensive lineman signee Deyavie Hammond announced via Twitter that he did not clear admissions at the university. The Lakeland (Fla.) product will have to attend junior college this coming semester. The following is Hammond's statement posted on his personal Twitter account:
"To my dismay and my supporters over the course of my football career. I did not qualify for the NCAA and I will not be attending the University of Florida. The journey had been long and I have met great individuals who have given me countless opportunities to help me become a better player and person. Although misfortunate my journey has not come to a stop I will be attending a JuCo for the next two years. This journey wasn't easy but it definitely fun and will continue through out this tough time. Saddening as the situation is I will forever cheer Gator Nation."
The 247Sports Composite, an industry generated average, ranked Hammond as the nation's No. 242 overall prospect and the No. 15 offensive
Out of curiosity, has anyone played with the class calculator to see where the 2019 UF class would have ended up less the transfer and qualification losses?

Let’s just accept it as a failed class and move on

Nah man. Need to keep up with how the Gap is being closed...

So if you remove Jones, Steele, Hammond and Wilson they have 21 commits and the composite is 264 which puts them just ahead of Ohio State (who only signed 17) for 14. They also fall behind Tennessee and Auburn for 7th in the SEC. Gap closed.

You guys sound scared. Why do you care if we have transfer/fail to qualify academically?
Unlike UGA, Florida has standards.
You guys are more concerned about our incoming class than we are.

Love the Gator sour grapes re: DE Joseph — processed; never wanted him; drama queen; not good. They shite on any decommit. Disingenuous — the Gata goto look.

Let me guess, pointing this out is evidence of your FEAR!?

Lulz... That's cute. Your parents let you get onto the internet. Meanwhile, these qualification failures have nothing to do with UF standards and everything to do with NCAA standards...

Frankly don't give a shite about your class, but more interested in how the Gap is supposedly closing for you guys with Mullen's exceptional recruiting efforts.

Our "inferior" team will beat you this year. Then what? Going to brag of how many 5-star recruits you have despite no results?
Posted on 7/6/19 at 9:42 pm to ForeverGator
Yes, keep telling yourself that.

Why make such a definitive statement? Focus on the ever closing gap. I believe yall have 3 more recruits still on the fence, right?
Posted on 7/6/19 at 9:58 pm to djsdawg
You guys keep focusing on this "closing gap." Maybe you should focus on winning something in your lifetime?
Posted on 7/6/19 at 10:19 pm to ForeverGator
Seems we’re now at the bottom of the barrel for responses. Keep living in the past though. When was Florida’s last SEC championship?

We won the SEC in 2017, but the chances of doing that again are going way down as this gap closes this summer.
