With the firing of a very good coach in Les Miles College Football is entering an era of intolerant Hellfire Fury. If you don't win big right now be gone.

Every coach at the majors will be coaching for their jobs every year. Starting salaries will go up and regimes will crash and burn much quicker. Coaching contracts will be shorter in term but richer in value. Win it all and win it fast or it's over. No more second best. Conquer your rivals today or be consumed by Fire and Brimstone tomorrow.

Umm...kinda been like that for the past decade. List is to tl,dr. Lsu not the first and certainty won't be the last. If salaries were the same as in the 90's sure it's acceptable to lose 3-5 a year but when your paid millions, the narrative changes.
