Finebaum piling on Kiffin now about Bryce Brown

On a Knoxville radio station Kiffin mentions Bryce Brown as an excellent player. The rule is that you can't talk publicly about a recruits ability. Finebaum is spinning it that Kiffin will have to declare him ineligible now. Kiffin just made Tennessee lose out on the number 1 player in the country.
I'll admit this rule is stupid and petty and Finebaum's spin is silly. But I absolutely love all the negativity surrounding the Vols even if it's really not that big of a deal, like in this case. Screw'em.

I agree... It's Kittens own fault that people in the media are looking at every lil thing he does... Should'nt have come in and ran his mouth like he did...

Kiffin pulled in a pretty good recruiting class, so all the negative attention is obviously not hurting him too bad.
Since Finebaum has his head stuck up Saban's arse, I doubt he will mention how Saban violated a similiar rule by contacting Keiwan Malone in person. With the exception of Bammers, most people do not care what Finebaum has to say anyway

is one reason I'm starting to think Kiffin may not be as bas as he's made out to be.
Has Paul said what he's getting Nickie for Valentine's Day yet ?

quote:Most of these recruiting services base their ranking on both quality and quantity. Tennessee's recruiting class is ranked that low because they signed fewer players than 95% of the other colleges in the country. If you go by average star per player, Tennessee's recruiting class is probably in the top 7 or 8 teams in the entire country. In my opinion, that is pretty good class for a coach who only had a few weeks to recruit

You can have Bryce Brown. That guy has trouble written all over him. I'm still counting that Oku will come to Auburn, hopefully.

tennessee fans are so pumped but now these recruiters have to actually coach. we'll see how that pans out. 6-6.

Okay... what about 2010 and beyond? You know all the top QBs in 2010 are all looking at us, right?
Saban in his first year at LSU went 8-4 and his first year at bama he went 7-6, so 6-6 is a conservative bet. If a ball bounces a certain way we go 7-6 or 8-5

The average star per player for Saban's first class was 3.28. The average star per player for Kiffin's first recruiting class is 3.53. Saban had more quantity in his first recruiting class, but Kiffin's first reruiting class has better quality.
