Chris Relf was always fun to watch. Couldn’t throw worth a damn but won some big games for State. Nick Fitzgerald should get some notice. SEC all time QB rushing leader. If Dan was here in 18 with him we win 10 games

finished 2nd in the Heisman behind Roger Staubach, 1963, was GA Tech final year in the SEC

John Bond MSU 1980-83. Ran the wishbone of Emory Bellard to near perfection leading the Dawgs to back to back Top 20 finishes in 1980 and 81. Led the 6-3 upset of Bama in 80 breaking their 28 game winning streak, and broke up Orange Bowl bound 1982 LSU's undefeated season in the 10th game with a 27-24 upset win. Only MSU QB to go 4-0 vs LSU, and held the most rushing yards in a career by a SEC QB until Matt Jones broke it in 03.

Yes he was. State won like 9 of 11 over LSU from the mid-70's until like 1984. I grew up thinking LSU was going to be a pencil in win every year. Years later was I wrong.
