I have no sympathy. We can't get to ATL, Omaha or the damn NCAA's (AK had BETTER be callin some UT croots and current starters). We have bigger problems over here.

Eh, Tenn has been one of our flagship programs in basketball the last few years. Not THE flagship, thats obviously KY, but here recently when national ppl hear SEC Basketball, one of the first things that come to mind is Tennessee. And the SEC needs all the help it can get on the BBall front. A program like this headed towards the down elevator doesnt do the conference any good in a time when we need as many nationally relevant teams as we can get.
I agree, I dont feel sorry for the fans at all, I despise those pumpkin orange wearing pukes. But I do feel for Bruce, and I definitely feel for the conference as I see this being a big hit to Tennessee's quality as a program for the next little bit.

This would have been SOOOOOOOOOO much sweeter if it was happening to Fulmer instead of Pearl though. I don't know why, but I have a hard time not liking Pearl. I can't stand UcheaT but they've sucked so bad the last couple of years in football I ALMOST feel bad for them.

I am in Knoxville and the fans calling the local radio stations are going crazy. One UT Alum said he will never watch UT sports again and he will root for anyone who plays UT.

So? This is just that old 'conference pride' argument. I'm not an SEC fan, I'm a Georgia fan. Tennessee is one of Georgia's major rivals, so I want them to do poorly. Why the hell should I want our rivals to succeed and be a major national player? That only hurts Georgia.

When the other teams in your conference suck, you pay the price with your RPI. Yeah, yall got in this year, but the quality of teams across the board was down this year. Most other years, you wouldnt have.
