In the same time frame Alabama had Marcell Dareus, Julio Jones and Eddie Lacy make the pro-bowl.

Agreed +10.... Also I believe there are some stud Alabama players in the NFL not sure how accurate the OP is??

Use whatever time frame blows your skirt up. The original poster made an open ended moronic comment and I was calling him on it with facts. I know most LSU fans don't respond well to empirical data.

Saban finds players that are good athletes and coaches them and teaches them thing like discipline and hard work.
Miles just finds freakish athletes who can run 4.3 40s which carry them through college, and when they get to the NFL, they find coaches that are actually good and can teach them to use their freakish abilities.

quote:Why did you select only players drafted 2010-present? Just Curious. (ps LSU has multiple players in the pro bowl in those dates, but you've further weakened your sample by including only those drafted between those dates, not actual players in the pro bowl). And you're lecturing about data ?

FWIW, the OP did not have a timeframe limitation.

Because Bama = NFL Bust U
I'm assuming you're talking about recently, under Saban. Since 2009, Bama has had 33 players drafted in the NFL while Tennessee has had 14...thus your equation above logically leads to the assumption that a team must actually get lots of players drafted into the NFL before they can be considered NFL Bust U...
If you're talkin' historically however, Bama has done quite well. Below is a list of the number of NFL Hall of Famers that played in the SEC, sorted by the colleges they attended:
Alabama 7
LSU 3
Arkansas 2
Florida 2
Georgia 2
Kentucky 2
Ole Miss 2
Missouri 2
Tennessee 2
Auburn 1
Texas A&M 1
While we've had our share of busts, overall I think Bama players have done fairly well...
NFL Bust U??? I think not...
