Why would someone say something like this
quote:

A lot of you don't football much

And then the next paragraph is this
quote:

Our philosophy is very simple...just protect the ball. Trask wont have to score a lot of points, cause our defense will be as stingy as a Scottish miser.

Really, all we need is for our offense to pick up a first down on most series, then our punter has the leg to flip the field and pin you deep.

We'll wait on the defense to give us the short field to drive. Eezy pleezee lemon squezzee. Of course we have elite weapons at WR and short passes turn into house calls...same with run game..we can lull you to sleep and Chomp!! You are chasing a Gator with after burners. Mullen will be in the lab this week and tinkering with a few plays to break the bank. Y'all should be worried.

Honestly, this make me want to fight for better education in the US. That's my immediate reaction to this.

Keep wishing man. LSU will embarrass Florida and I’m no sunshine pumping homer.

Vandy scored 24 on our defense
Florida can too. Florida also has a better defense than Vandy that could score more than 14. Or at the very least stop LSU from scoring 50+.

LSU has been playing without some of it's best players on the defensive side the last few weeks. Some out since the Texas game.

Rashard Lawrence-DL our best Dlinemen
Michael Divinity- LB Veteran. Best overall LB
Chaisson- OLB pass rush specialist. Our best pass rusher
Glen Logan- DL starter and good player. Q for this week

These guys should play this week outside of Logan who is questionable.

If Vandy...

It's incredible how many people are clinging to a game where LSU won by 4 TDs, and scored 66 points, as some sort of indication of weakness.

But I guess since Vandy scored 38 points on LSU, the same amount as Texas, we can only assume that Vandy's offense is as good as Texas', right?

Is that the take-away from the LSU-Vandy game?

You do realize we scored 66 points and Burrow played 3 qtrs, right?

You do realize the only full game Burrow has played is Texas, right?

Add to the fact it was an 11am road game that was played without 3 starters on the defensive front.

The argument that everyone against us will make is that in the last game all of these guys started, Texas scored 38.

I think it's more important to emphasize that coaching and technique wise, our defense looks sharper, more sound that it did in Austin. Vandy was a bit of a head-scratcher, as we let them get away with a lot of dumb stuff (40+ yard run on the first play due to a missed assignment) that I don't expect this week.

Last week was a lesser opponent, but I like what I saw from a technique standpoint. I think we are close to having the type of defense we have come to expect from LSU and Dave Aranda. Here's hoping.

It's also a bummer that we likely lost a corner last week. We experimented with moving Fulton inside to cover the slot (a spot where we were getting abused early in the season) and that seemed to remedy a lot of those issues. Hopefully someone else steps up this week.

Florida is a good football team, but if we can develop a pass rush, I think we win the turnover battle and make it a long night for Trask. Sure he played in...Kentucky? But Saturday night will be a different beast.

I expect Joe to have the type of game he's had every week this season (completely different from last year's Joe). If we allow Florida to run they ball like they did in the 2nd half last year, it could be bad news. But I just don't see that happening again.

Well Texas had 7 at half and Lawrence, Logan, and Chaisson all went down. Then all hell broke loose. OUr D was actually pretty good against a good offense until those injuries.

Yea my biggest concern is this for sure. LSU has elite talent in the secondary so it wont be as easy as some seem to think to move the ball.

LSU is the toughest match up on our schedule. We have to have some things go our way to win it. But our team is tough and resilient. We may lose but we certainly arent getting blown out.

This is by far what worries me most about this game. Florida's offense isn't great but we've had plenty LSU teams like this UF team. Teams with offenses just good enough to control the ball long enough and let the defense make a few big plays.

One Def TD and a 2 Offensive TD's with a few other drives eating clock and Florida is in a good spot in this game IMO.
