You do realize that LSU lost to Bama in '08 right?

In OT. Had to tie it up in regulation. Don't blame miles for JL throwing an INT in the endzone.

Lee also threw a pick-six in that game. LSU had a 7 point lead at one point and was in position for more.
Exactly, Miles didn't throw the 2 picks, one for a pick-six and one in the Bama end zone.

Who knows what Perrilloux could have done for LSU in '08 had Lee not had to be thrown to the wolves as a freshman.

If he didn't catch it we still would have had a shot at a FG. How fricking hard is it to understand?

Yes, But how hard is it to understand that you dont let that amount of time go off the clock. What if the play would have taken longer? Then no time. Yes it didnt happen, but very well could of.

It's just sour grapes

Not even, but when you start with .40 seconds and a timeout, All you have to do is score, you are on the 22. most coaches would use the timeout. To give you a chance at another play or two.

If you think he managed the clock correctly, you are delusional

.40 seconds to run one play, what if he did not catch it. You guys would be bitching like crazy

1. As has been mentioned, a time-out would have allowed Auburn to change their secondary.
2. Crowton and Miles called that play with the expectation that Flynn would have snapped the ball sooner. He said this in post-game interviews.
3. There were 2 seconds put back on the clock after Byrd caught the pass. LSU """"""DID"""""" kickoff to Auburn you know.
4. If Byrd misses the pass, LSU, even with Flynn wasting 4 seconds before he snapped the ball, had 2 seconds on the clock to kick a FG.

Miles DID manage the clock correctly. If Flynn had snapped it sooner, there would have been 5 or 6 seconds left after the TD. But who knows?, it might have turned out diffently....
The coaches were frantically waving their hands to urge Flynn to snap it sooner, but Flynn let 4 seconds run off.....

And I COULD have been born with 4 nipples. The bottom line is it was a good call by the coaches and Flynn admitted after the game that he didn't realize he took that long to snap the ball.

Why should Miles get credit for all the clock management in the games listed by the OP? It's what he is paid to do.. He gets branded/ criticized as "lucky" because of large amount of cluster fricks he has had at the end of games.

Sure he got away with wasting 40 seconds and having a last second desperation bomb get caught for a TD, or a perfect bounce of the ball on 4th down, but eventually it's going to catch up with him.

Dude who gives a frick what they say?

Newsflash: THEY DON'T LIKE LSU.

They are going to cling to any little old thing to try to tear us down and in your case, they were successful.

Just shoot them the bird and laugh at them while reminding them how that scoreboard tastes the next time they cry about that Les Miles "luck" after they just got served a slice.

"""""""LARGE AMOUNT"""""""" ??????????????????
""""What""""" 'large amount' ??????????
Ole Miss and Penn State (maybe) in '09 and Tennessee in '10?
What cluster fricks ???????????????????????????????????????????
What games ???????????????????????????????????????????????????

Miles has won 62 of 79 games in 6 seasons, and has 4 11-win seasons.
I am interested to see your list of "cluster fricks".

Name them..............

No, Socrates. But if Flynn had snapped the ball when he was """""SUPPOSED""""" to, like FOUR SECONDS EARLIER, there would have been 5 or 6 seconds left to kick a field goal, instead of the two that were left after Byrd caught the ball..........which, by the way, was """"AT THE FOUR SECOND MARK"""".

Yet again, the clock operator let the clock run out, (which the announcers did not realize),
AND BTW, WHERE WAS TUBERVILLE HERE ?????????..... the officials put 2 seconds back on the clock (even though the clock said ""FOUR"" when Byrd caught the ball), and LSU then kicked off to Auburn.

I meant clusters fricks as referring to very questionable clock management whether LSU won or lost. Apologies for not making that more clear.

As much as we like to laugh at Miles, his players believe in him and he believes in his players.. I don't know how else to explain some of his last second wins or bounces of the ball.

So in that 4 seconds or the other 20 seconds prior to this where was Miles with his timeout, that he had available?
