They can't help themselves.
We are the Sportsman's Paradise, we don't have high crime and meth heads running around everywhere, and we have the best food on the planet. And we're not sinking into the ocean.
It's AWESOME here !!
Former Kentucky Wildcat Travis Ford is the latest to be welcomed into our midst.
The Garden of Eden from Genesis was actually IN ARKANSAS. That is a geographical fact.

It’s been a fall from grace — from Oklahoma State to St. Louis to the shite hole in Arkansas. Woof.

My mother's side of family were Arkansans going back more than 125 years. My great-grandfather was a cotton broker in the delta.
Northwest Arkansas is definitely a great area. The delta, on the other hand, is in trouble. It's like many rural areas in America facing poverty, lack of healthcare, educational issues, etc. Towns like Marianna are failing.
Wilson is a bright spot in the Arkansas delta. A charming old town transformed by a billionaire, Gaylon Lawrence. There's a great cafe with good wines and a nice boutique hotel. He's getting ready to take the next step in the transformation by turning thousands of acres of former farmland into solar production sites.

Ruining pristine farm land with worthless solar panels …. gonna come back to bite us.

Drive from Memphis to Little Rock again and tell me there aren't any meth heads around

It's not something I care for either; however, the Lawrence family business was facing declining margins and a lot of difficulty in maintaining a profitable ag business. Gaylon probably holds over 300,000 acres around the country but doesn't farm the land. 50,000 or so around Wilson. He leases the land to local farmers who were facing enormous obstacles to make it work. A cotton picker is close to a million dollar investment. Capital and labor issues were behind the change.
The gin business is booming. They ginned over 160,000 bales last season.

Never thought of Arkansas as a food place…
But in all seriousness, if it’s so great, you should want people to stay away. Your paradise will be overrun with strip malls and crime in no time.

Obviously this guy has never seen Pine Bluff. Looks like a nuclear bomb test zone

We have enough outsiders. We should build a wall
