If you are right it's time for a counter revolution.

Where will it stop?

Will they fire the next President WHEN someone yells the N word on campus? It's going to happen and it will be on purpose.

Pinkel didn't have a choice. The liberals in this country would have been screaming until he became a casualty a well if he didn't support the players decision.

It's about football and basketball. Any coach would have trouble recruiting with the current situation. If you're a Mizzou fan it's a double win. You don't have to worry about recruiting and you look good to the academic establishment.

no, wrong as usual Ralph(good name for you), the kids that are smart enough to know this was just some campus dingbat hunger strike, wonder why the HC was dumb enough to go along with the idiotic schtik of a "football strike".

The real problem w/ coach dumbnuts going along with it, is it now makes it appear to the black players that fell for this that they somehow "were right", when they weren't.

Pinkel has done nothing more than set a bad precedence by showing weakness and or the inability to understand what the hell's going on. He should have supported the University but instead he added credence to the idea there is some "systemic problem" at MU, when there isn't.

Pinkel acted stupidly, but then that really shouldn't surprise anyone.

If you don't like the replies you're getting, JQ, don't start threads asserting that you know for a fact that all other SEC schools' administrations would have done the same as y'all.

Where's your proof of that? Don't you think those of us who are alumni/supporters of other SEC schools and are far more knowledgeable about the atmosphere surrounding these types of issues than you, an outsider to said other SEC school administrations, are? You know what they say about those who assume....

Who knows? Hopefully the next president will have enough common sense and social awareness to know you can do several things in these situations but ignoring them is not one of them

Again though, if you think your old, rich, white administration would have told the disenfranchised, young, oppressed black youth to sit down and shut up...I mean, lol man. Can you imagine the shitstorm?

Another thing folks are missing here is that Mizzou did not cave to every thing on the list of demands. The ridiculous demands were never met, and this was all avoidable if only Wolfe had just a shred of understanding of the times he lived in.

So what makes you all experts on the Mizzou campus dynamic then? Thats a two way street girl. You dont get to have it both ways.

CG, I don't need to know the climate at SC anymore than you know the climate at Mizzou.

I know the climate of our country though. It's incredibly naïve for anyone to think differently.

I can understand why you'd want to, but it simply is not based in reality. Again, like it or not.

Are you serious? Are they students at Missouri? I would find it hard to describe them as such.

This is all so very, very sad and unfortunate. Imagine a place where, even in 2015, racists run the show and oppress innocent blacks.

Well, you don't have to imagine it, that place is Missouri. The most racist state in this nation can't even create a safe place for blacks to attend college.

Africans are shouted at, intimidated, frightened, harassed, and shamed just because of the color of their skin in Columbia.

Cracker Wolfe was the lead hate monger and allowed this culture of antagonistic bigotry to thrive. He watched it grow and approved of the conditions that Africans suddenly found themselves in.

Crackers are mostly all hate filled bastards who, given just the slightest chance, will revert to feral form and go after those not like them.

Let's all pray that these Missouri peckerwoods don't really turn on the Africans and start harming them physically.

Now that their leader, Wolfe, is gone, maybe there will be change. What is really needed to lead this horrible college is an African who doesn't have a hate filled heart like most all the whites do. Hopefully an African will now be placed in the position of President of the University of Hate Town and some real changes will be made.

I, personally, am not describing them as such.

I was speaking from the point of view of the cast majority of the national media that picked up the story. Which, again, is overwhelmingly liberal in their political views and many are absolutely boiling over with white guilt.

Kilo..I never said I knew squat about the Mizzou campus dynamic. What I do know is what y'all are posting, which paints a not so stellar picture of your University. I've considered what y'all have said with far more weight than what a biased media has reported to bolster their ratings. While what y'all say is far less inflammatory than what has been reported via media outlets, it still is not a very positive portrayal of Mizzou at present.

You are a fricking moron

I'm a fricking moron??? You really are this stupid, aren't you? shite like this happens more often than not outside the South. Bama has a racial issue...the sororities...it gets handled. So, it's because of "cultural change" since the sixties that white liberal parents in the DUMBO area of Brooklyn are now kicking and screaming about black kids being moved into their kids' school? But hey, that's OK, because it's Northern liberals.

You, sir, are the fricking moron.

Yes.

You tried to compare a gay athlete in the the late 60s with Michael Sam in 2012 and how the two situations were handled as some kind of bellwether gauge for how Missouri handles things "worse" than "the south" would.

That pretty much makes you a moron. Sorry that you cant see the obvious reasons for that but one shouldnt have to point out the vast societal and cultural reasons why a situation like that would play out differently in 2012 than in 1969.

Oh boy, here we go. I bet you are white, aren't you?

You can never understand the hatred and venomous bile that every single African that attends Missouri has to contend with.

Your cracker privilege has blinded you to the plight of the downtrodden and weak among you.

Michael Sam was just one example. No doubt the vast majority of those dipshits leading this protest think that Michael Brown was a victim and an innocent "kid". White parents in New York whining about their school being desegregated, because God forbid if we have to have those poor underperforming black kids go to school with our elite kids. Years of black Democratic rule in Baltimore, and we get race riots so bad that a crowd has to be locked into Camden Yards because it isn't safe to leave.
