Had one in my wet suit in Mexico. Lips got numb, muscles got spastic, got shot in arse and bedridden 24 hours. Fine next day except respiratory breathing still high. Went diving next day off Columbia Deep. Bad choice. Was sucking air so hard emptied tank in 20 minutes. Left group and surfaced. Pop sausage, boat got me before I made Cuba. 
Next time, have more Margaritas and wait another day. I was a dumb arse.

I have been stung 2 or 3 times. It's really no worse than a yellow jacket. But they look so damn scary
