I think FSU has a much better chance of beating Bama than probably anyone in the country. FSU and Bama are complete teams. The only two in the country.

All of this is true, however I think there is a shock factor when you're playing against the best team you've ever seen. These juniors and seniors at Alabama wouldn't be facing that in the hypothetical FSU matchup.

And that's definitely a factor. But to imply that FSU is not one of the 2 best teams in the country is idiotic.

This is all about whatever team is "hot." People tend to latch on until the team falls. They did it with Oregon...right up until Stanford made them look silly. They now do it with FSU and will until FSU loses. It's natural, but as far as I'm concerned, until a program actually proves itself against top-quality opponents, all those video game numbers are just fluff. It's the Oklahoma Football Syndrome, where a team wows everyone with their huge numbers for months before the team gets exposed by a competent opponent, leaving everyone scratching their heads at how a team that looked so unbeatable could be shown to be so ordinary.
It's one of the real reasons for the SEC's title run. Teams that make it out of the SEC have actually been tested and shown to be legitimate. And not just in one big game...throughout the season.

Florida State would give Alabama a hell of a game this year. I've been on the Florida State hate train for years and years,but they have elite depth and will come out slingin it if Jaboo is around. I hope that shite of his is just smoke.

FSU deserves to be there if they win out. They pass the eye test and they are undefeated.
I think they could beat Bama, but I doubt they will put up the video game numbers they're used to.
Bama has a much harder path to the game, though. And way more experience.
