I also don't understand why the fact that he was a Marine is even relevant anymore. If I'm not mistaken, the guy was not dressed in fatigues. Just a crew cut does not a Marine make.
It makes it sound worse to say that he kicked a Marine than it does to say that he kicked a woman abusing POS.

wasn't the guy in just "regular clothes"? How did anyone know at the time he was a Marine?

You are correct.

to retards that has some kinda relevance to this case even though he wasn't in uniform.
Uniform or not, he should've gotten his arse kicked and did.
FWIW, Marines aren't the sharpest tools.

True. It's silly (and beyond pointless) for people to keep pointing out that he is a Marine. Just cause someone is in the military, doesn't mean they're a stand up person.

Humans have 3,000 thoughts a day.
Is someone who has 600 wrong thoughts a day but doesn't act, better than someone who has 1 wrong thought a day but acts on it.
Furthermore, is someone who has 200 wrong thoughts a day but doesn't act, better than someone who has 600 thoughts a day but doesn't act.

Exactly.
In my opinion, these people that keep throwing up the word Marine without mentioning the other facts appear to support his actions. I don't know many men that would stand around and let that happen.

I agree with you uniform or not he deserved an arse whipping. Him being a marine doesn't make him a saint. They have bad apples in the armed forces but some people refuse to believe that and think they should be allowed to get away with anything.

Hell, I wouldn't stand around and watch that happen.

I guess if the witnesses change their story from previous testimony, that could happen.
Doubtful.
JJ made a big mistake, paid the price, and is moving on.
There are more witnesses on JJ's side.

Hasn't ever been his strong suite. Throw for 30yds in a loss to UF? Tell the media you think you played pretty good.

IMHO, I'd like team leaders to exhibit character and humbleness in all cases. Not certain JJ gets that part 100%.
I 100% know he doesn't.

In the video there appears to be quite a few chivalrous Baton Rouge residents allowing it. So explain how this thread was started by a fan of Cam Newton's old team and somehow it became a bama problem?

When it escalated is when the fight started, from what I understand.
It became a Bama problem in this thread when some of you started defending the "Marine".

Alabama fans are not a homogeneous group. It is simple-minded to associate the acts of a few to the group as a whole. Remember who started the flame I know Cam Newton's old team is not a threat anymore but it is ok to be mad at them.

It doesn't matter what the marine did or did not do, kicking someone in the face is illegal.
You would never see comments like this from a player under the strict discipline of a Saban led administration.

The Grand Jury charged him with a misdemeanor.

Then, you do not have to concern yourself with this. It won't happen there.
