The shitty pitching Alabama teed off against on Tuesday did not set us up very well for tonight. Back down to reality quickly.
Small through 105 pitches and am guessing 90-95 were fastballs. Must have been some unreal movement on them. Only thing you can do is tip your cap and live to play another day.
Brock Love needs to make Justin Foscue wear one tomorrow though.

Why is that?
Pimping the double off the wall thinking it was a home run. Get down the line, chief.

Everyone in the stadium thought it was one. If anyone on the board could put one out they’d pimp it too

Haha he definitely crushed it. But if you’re going to do that, then you have to be prepared for what comes next.
I understand another MSU win likely comes next, so save it.

I wouldn’t go that far. Really liked y’all’s friday starter by the way. Not a high K count guy but has great command of the strike zone

Thankfully he was able to settle down and get six innings in to save the bull pen.
Tomorrow’s pitcher I think has a way better upside but he’s not shy about leaving a pitch pecker high over the plate either. Florida had a field day against him but other than that he’s been a pretty solid Saturday starter.

I realize this is a baseball thing that is as old as time, but intentionally throwing at someone when you throw the ball 90 plus MPH (for things like celebrating a hit) is the dumbest tradition in sports. Can you imagine if everyone just started cheap shotting players in football after a touchdown celebration? We celebrate those celebrations in the other sports, but if someone does it in baseball they get an object that could potentially ruin their career if it hits them in the wrong spot thrown directly at them. It's dumb as shite.

That's filthy, don't care who it is. Kudos to him.

Well if he struck out 14 of 15, yes he would have struck out 7 in a row.

No. There were walks (I think 1 walk) and base hits between outs in the game. He had a stretch where he struck out 7 batters in a row.
The other strikeouts didn't all occur back-to-back.
