While he isn’t Cam Newton right now, there is a damn good reason he’s getting those comps because he has a Heisman ceiling IMO.

Let's not get carried away. Jones was one of the best scrambling qb's in modern college football. He could throw the ball when he actually needed to (was pretty average other than that).

With modern college football, with the field so spread out and 10 recievers per play, any decently quick qb can run for a lot of yards. Before the spread offense, a qb had to be really good to get 20-30 yards in a game.
