I had a little contact with his parents a long time ago. They were very professional, intelligent people, who were easy to talk to. Wasn't shocked when their son had so much success early in his career.

So sad. Prayers to parents, fiancee, family and friends.

This hurts so much. He is such a part of my fandom.. I’ve read so many articles written by him and have listened to his takes for years. When he was first on the scene was our great 2011 season and I followed everything so closely that season more so that I had previously and he was a big part of that, him and Chris Lowe.. I’m speechless, he seemed like such a great guy and was honestly gonna be big time personality in the business. This really sucks..

Sickle cell mutations, whether single or both alleles, are not an autoimmune disease. It's a straightforward protein malformation that physically cloggs blood vessels. You might be thinking of another disease.

On another note, there is a fungal pneumonia that is dangerous in people with Aids called PCP. He didn't look unhealthy, but you never know.

Which would explain him passing from complications with pneumonia.

You can be a perfectly healthy person and still pass from complications of pneumonia. I’ve had a couple of kids hospitalized for getting it after having the flu too.

What a complete and utter indictment on the state of medical science if in 2019, we still have young men dying from any variation of pneumonia.

Totally stupid take. Even tho we save more than ever, pneumonia can kill you dead. BTW, who did you pay to get into Stanford?
