This is more of a comment on the Big 12, not Texas. They are saying the winner of the Big 12 is likely going to the CFP, and Texas is the only team with a shot at winning a bad year Big 12.
I (and a lot of the media for what it is worth) happen to feel LSU is a better team than Texas going into this season. That said, I feel Texas has a better chance at making the CFP than LSU.
