I'd be a little surprised if they made a serious run this year but you can't ever count out Florida. Boom didn't impress me at all last year, yeah I know he took over a tough situation but Florida shouldn't ever struggle that much IMO. I guess we'll see what kind of improvement we see this season.

The only game that was a real letdown last year was @ Auburn. Otherwise, our pathetic offense had to go up against 5 of the top defenses in the country.

I mean we dismantled you pretty thoroughly as did Bama. I know we were the top dogs last year I just don't think Florida should ever be getting their asses kicked like that. Losing by a score or 2 is one thing. Losing by 30+ points is something else.

You underestimate how much of a wreck Meyer left UF with after Tebow/Harvin/Spikes left.

I mean y'all say that but I just have a hard time with the idea that your talent was that far off of everyone else. And if it's discipline or attitude shouldn't a new coach come in and whip everyone into shape? I'm not totally writing him off or anything but I thought Florida underachieved last year which isn't an encouraging sign in year 1. We'll see.

lol y'all dismantled almost everyone last season though, including 11-2 Arky and the Orange Bowl champions WV.

I mean yeah but I hold Florida to a higher standard than Arky or WVU. Maybe I'm expecting too much. We'll see how he does this year.

My Arky bashing friend that I love and respect:
Did you not see our QB, RB, WR, OL, DB, TE and to some extent LB performance last year?
We were small and weak in all those positions. QB was a lost cause.
Boom may or may not be the answer but last year wasn't the year to determine that.
This year we need to see dramatic improvements in execution, toughness, strength (new coach there) and less turnovers.
We were a disaster last year and were only crushed but the two teams that played for the national championship.
Not bad for being a total mess.

Gators are talented but with this schedule do people really think they are going to make a leap from 7-6 to the BCS title hunt? Maybe if they had Georgia's schedule, but this one has some major roadblocks.

Why, because I had UT as a questionable game? Do you really think that the streak will continue forever? This game will probably mean Tennessee's season (and Dooley's career) and Will Muschamp is Derek Dooley with a better game face so I wouldn't count it as an auto win if I were you.

Well at least Boom dismissed his best defensive player last year and has Dooley done that.
He maybe be like Dooley and Foley will fire him if he thinks the program isnt going in the right direction.

We were broken just like UT. Our recruiting has been outstanding so we should be OK long term.

Dooley kicked Janzen Jackson off the team last year who, if not the best defensive player, was probably the most important considering the shuffling that took place in the secondary afterwards. But this has nothing to do with Dooley's ability to coach, which has proven piss poor so far.

Do NOT compare UT to Kentucky lol. You never said it, I just assumed. Do you really think Muschamp is the right guy for the job? I knew were we're screwed with Dooley from the start. Neither coach deserved the position. Muschamp's hire was always a head scratcher to me.

At least Muschamp was a proven dc that's had a top 10 defense everywhere he's been.
