Take any talented team, take away their only qb with experience, and tell a freshman that they're now at the helm of the defending national champs, and odds are you'd get similar results.

co-def coordinaters killed us too.

Also take away the leading rusher, veteran wide receiver and roughly half of the starting defense

Mostly due to scheme.

"If we tell ourselves it was the scheme enough, we might start believing it. Couldn't have been our lazy unmotivated 5 star players."

75% of the time the secondary looked confused.

100% of the time the secondary looked like Nick Saban wasn't coaching it anymore...get used to that...Unless Bama gets hit with sanctions.

ESPN HATES LSU
All that talent and you went 8-5 last year?

We were 8-5; however we gave away the Arkansas and Alabama games at the very end. We very easily should have been 10-3.
Also, 50 of the points we gave up came courtesy of Jarrett Lee, not our defense. And he threw other picks that set up opponents deep in LSU territory, so it wasn't ALLLL the defense's fault.
Ex. When Georgia visited Tiger Stadium, the crowd was in a frenzy, national TV, Trindon Holliday returned the opening kickoff for LSU to midfield. So what happens ??
On the first snap of the ball game, Lee throws an INT to Georgia returned for a TD....

Oh, what might have been!

You can't blame last season entirely on Jarret Lee. Your defense lost you as many games as he did.
